The script is intended to present a violent action and conspiracy film set in the present day. It is based upon a real historical incident and a genuine perennial threat to life and property in the Medway towns of Kent in England. The US explosives carrier Richard Montgomery sank in the Thames Estuary in August 1944. It was loaded with explosives and the British Admiralty decided to leave the wreck and its dangerous cargo undisturbed. see:
